黒川道子さん百寿✨がじまる会✴︎新年会✴︎2026
staff@makana.fm1970年に設立されたがじまる会は、2026年の今年、創立56周年を迎えました。
「沖縄の肝心（ちむぐくる）＝真心を大切にする」ことを理念とする、がじまる会の新年会が、1月19日（月）、アメリカの祝日マーティン・ルーサー・キング・ジュニア・デーにあわせて、アラモアナのパゴダホテルで開催されました。
今年の新年会は、
・がじまる会の新年のお祝い
・名桜大学名誉博士号を授与されたボブ仲宗根さんのお祝い
・そして、今年数えで百寿（100歳）、3月4日に満99歳を迎えられる黒川道子さんのお祝い
と、三つの慶びが重なり、盛大であたたかな会となりました。
黒川道子さんは神奈川県逗子市のご出身ですが、沖縄・うちなーんちゅの友人が多くいらっしゃったご縁から、2013年2月にがじまる会へ入会されました。
学びの会で最も心に残っている思い出は、**「ひめゆり部隊の生存者のお話を直接聞いたこと」**だそうです。
当日はご自身で車を運転して来場され、神奈川県人会を中心としたゲストの皆さまをテーブルにご招待されるなど、そのお心遣いに、makana.fmも光栄にお招きにあずかりました。
会の締めくくりには、黒川さんから元気で溌剌としたメッセージをいただきました。

Founded in 1970, Gajimaru Kai celebrated its 56th anniversary in 2026.
The New Year’s gathering, rooted in the Okinawan spirit of “Chimugukuru” — heartfelt compassion and sincerity, was held on Monday, January 19, in observance of the U.S. holiday Martin Luther King Jr. Day, at the Pagoda Hotel in Ala Moana.
This year’s celebration honored three special milestones:
- The New Year celebration of Gajimaru Kai
- The recognition of Bob Nakasone, who was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Meio University
- And the celebration of Michiko Kurokawa, who is celebrating her 100th year (kazoe-doshi) and will turn 99 on March 4
Ms. Kurokawa is originally from Zushi City, Kanagawa Prefecture, but joined Gajimaru Kai in February 2013, inspired by her many close friendships within the Okinawan (Uchinaanchu) community.
Her most memorable experience from the group’s learning sessions was listening firsthand to the stories of survivors of the Himeyuri Student Corps.
On the day of the event, Ms. Kurokawa drove herself to the venue and graciously hosted guests, including members of the Kanagawa Kenjin-kai, at her table.
makana.fm was honored to be included among her invited guests.
At the close of the gathering, Ms. Kurokawa shared a lively and uplifting message with everyone present.
