「アヴァンギャルドなファッションと花」 草月流の皆さんによる展覧会が、2025年9月26日から28日まで、ホノルルのニーマン・マーカスで開催されました。出品者：Linda Hamasaki先生、Joyce Seiko Tomonari先生と門下生の皆さん
今回展示会場で草月流師範のクリステンさんにお会いしました。偶然作品”ショートドレス”の前でお話いただきました。素材はバニヤンツリーの根の部分と淡いラベンダーカラーの可憐なカップアンドソーサ 自身の名にもある”秋”意識しながら色にこだわった作品です。コンセプトから花材を公園などでも探し、バレリーナもイメージしています。ところでクリステンさんは16、7年華道をしています。日本にも何度も行っていている中、毎年草月いけばな展が１０月に行われることもご紹介くださいました。

Several recent and upcoming events in 2025 demonstrate the avant-garde spirit of Sogetsu in Hawaii:
💐2025年この後のハワイ草月流の展示会ご案内
「インターアイランド（ニューヨークとハワイからの新作絵画）」 ハワイ大学マノア校で2025年8月31日から12月7日まで開催される展示会では、ハワイからの新作絵画が展示され、花にインスパイアされたアヴァンギャルドな作品も展示されています。
ハワイ・トリエンナーレ2025：アロハ・ノ ハワイ・コンテンポラリーが主催する現代アートフェスティバル。ハワイの作品が展示され、ホノルル美術館をはじめとする会場で2025年12月12日まで開催。草月流作品に限定されているわけではありませんが、現代的で革新的なアートに焦点を当てたこのトリエンナーレは、前衛的な美的感覚と合致します。
💐ワークショップとクラス
ハワイ大学システムに属するウィンドワード・コミュニティ・カレッジでは、草月流いけばなのコースを設けています。
いけばなクラス ヌアヌYMCAでも草月流いけばなのクラスを開催しています。
個人セッション 認定を受けた草月流インストラクターによるワークショップや学習機会が、年間を通して様々な場所で開催されています。
💐草月流の年次展示および継続的な展示
ハワイ・クラフツマン年次州展 2025年10月3日に開幕するハワイ・クラフツマン年次州展では、ハワイ各地から集められた様々な伝統工芸品と現代工芸品が展示され、草月流にインスパイアされた作品も含まれます。
ハレクラニ・ホテル ハレクラニ・ホテルでは、オープンエアのロビーで、毎週、現代草月流の作品展示を続けています。
- "Avant-Garde Fashion & Flowers" An exhibition by Sogetsu teachers and students was held at Neiman Marcus in Honolulu from September 26 to 28, 2025.
- "Interisland (New Paintings from New York and Hawaiʻi)" This University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa exhibition, which runs from August 31 to December 7, 2025, features new paintings from Hawaiʻi, potentially including avant-garde floral-inspired works.
- Hawaiʻi Triennial 2025: Aloha Nō The contemporary arts festival, organized by Hawaiʻi Contemporary and featuring work across the islands, is on view at the Honolulu Museum of Art and other venues through December 12, 2025. While not exclusively Sogetsu, the triennial's focus on modern and innovative art aligns with the avant-garde aesthetic.
Workshops and classes
- Japanese Flower Arranging Windward Community College, part of the University of Hawaiʻi system, offers courses on Ikebana Sogetsu.
- Ikebana Class The Nuuanu YMCA also hosts Sogetsu Ikebana classes.
- Individual sessions Additional workshops and learning opportunities are offered by licensed Sogetsu instructors throughout the year at different locations.
Annual and ongoing Sogetsu presence
- Annual Statewide Exhibition The Hawaiʻi Craftsmen Annual Statewide Exhibition, which opens on October 3, 2025, features a variety of traditional and contemporary crafts from across Hawaiʻi, which may include Sogetsu-inspired works.
- Halekulani Hotel The Halekulani Hotel continues its weekly display of contemporary Sogetsu arrangements in its open-air lobby
