宇和島ハワイアンフェスティバルに、ハワイからも参加します♪

愛媛県宇和島市の岡原文彰 市長は5月20日から22日にハワイ州ホノルル市で行われた第2回姉妹都市サミットに参加されました。一日前19日に到着され、カカアコの愛媛丸慰霊碑で手を合わせ、その日は、愛媛県人会で温かい歓迎を受けました。今回は愛媛県人会矢野会長とメンバーの竹林さんにもお声をいただきました。

竹林篤さんは日本の被災地で焼きそばを焼き支援活動を続けるMOVE４JAPANの代表です。今回はハワイアンフェアということでウベパンケーキを焼きます。ぜひ宇和島のハワイアンフェスティバルも応援しましょう♪

Uwajima Mayor Fumiaki Okahara participated in the 2nd Sister Cities Summit held in Honolulu from May 20 to 22.

He arrived one day earlier on May 19 and paid his respects at the Ehime Maru Memorial in Kakaʻako. Later that day, he received a warm welcome from the Ehime Kenjin Kai Hawaii.

This time, we were also invited by President Yano of the Ehime Kenjin Kai and member Atsushi Takebayashi.

Atsushi Takebayashi is the representative of MOVE4JAPAN, a group that continues supporting disaster-affected areas across Japan by cooking yakisoba for communities in need.

For this Hawaiian Fair, he will be making ube pancakes!
